Circle Double Header 22 Jan

Last Tuesday, I got two games in. Originally I had booked up to play Tom and his Circle in the second gaming session of the night. I arrived in time for the first session so I could watch some of the other games that were going on. The games looked interesting, so I went upstairs to the bar to get a pint and then began to watch my fellow club mates throw down. When I got back to the basement, one of our newer attendees, a guy called Darren, had bought his new Circle army with him and was looking for a game. So we grabbed a free table and got down to business. Darren had bought a pBaldur list which included the Woldwrath, Megalith, Woldguardian, a unit of Druids, Sentry Stone and Mannikins, Sentry Stones and a Blackclad Wayfarer. My Intercessor Kreoss list had been re-jigged from it's previous outing: the battlegroup consisting of Fire of Salvation, Sanctifier and (making it's debut) Guardian and these were supported by a maximum Choir, maximum Errants with UA, Knights Exemplar, maximum Vengers and an Errant Seneschal. Without anymore playtime thia week, this will be the list I will settle for Saturday's one day event.
I had won the roll off and opted to go first. This would't have had much effect on the game except maybe if I had got Darren to set up first. I basically fed the Vengers to a unit of Druids while he core of his force shuffled up through the middle of the park. I tried to get my Errants to outflank Darren's force but I had placed them too far out and movd them up too slowly. That left the central blob of everything else in red and cream to get slowly chewed up by Megalith and Woldguardian. pBaldur's feat was really annoying and Megalith kept popping Undergrowth which meant that he could laugh at the threat range of my Knights. With the Vengers gone very early and my centre being attacked at will, the game slowly ran away from me, eventually resulting in Megalith giving Kreoss a solid beating.

Next up was Tom and his Kromac flavoured circle. I wanted to give my eFeora list another run out before Saturday. Feora bought along: Judicator, Sanctifier, Reckoner, maximum Temple Flameguard with UA, Daughters, Rhoven and Co and a Mechanic.
Things did not start well at all with the Judicator missing wih it's rockets and secondary deviations resulting in one of the objectives and a TFG set on fire. Tom's Warpwolf Stalker had successfully got the drop on my Reckoner and totalled it, here Tom had managed to secure himself a shed load of CPs, making it very hard for me to now win on scenario. The Daughters were killed off early on after being Preyed on by some Bloodtrackers and I started losing stuff bit by bit. The Judicator did see some mele action, so fully loaded up with Focus it went to town on Tom's Stalker and Ghetorix. However, Judicator fluffed it's charge attack roll. Still it took the Staller down with ease and put a fiar amount, but not enough damage on Ghetorix. Needless to say that fluffing the charge attack was critical here. Tom ploughed through the rest of my army and scoring enough CPs to win the game as both Feora and Kromac were safely out of assassination range.
Misfortune played a part in this game when Feora decided to get her hands dirty. She positioned herself to fry four Bloodtrackers with her Flamethrower. At RAT 5 she needed to boost all of her attack rolls. She fluffed two of the rolls, one of which was a triple one.
No doubt it was a harsh night but one or two things lodged themselves in my mind like the positioning of Judicators's human shield and forgetting about having one of Kreoss's jack advance move before the game. It was encouraging however to see the melee damage the Judicator can cause and using Kreoss's feat a tad more efficiently.
Considering the two defeats (which takes my streak to six losses), I didn't actually feel that bad.

Final paint log of the year.

December has been quiet paint wise as I am just easing myself back into things. So, briefly, here is what has happened:

Intercessor Kreoss unassembled àassembled
Exemplar Vengers (max) unassembled àassembled
Judicator unassembled àhalfway done*

*the legs and forearms are now finished, I’m currently working on the torso and exhausts before moving onto the shoulder and rocket pods.

2012 ends and 2013 begins.

237 Dice, and my gaming, has been put on the back burner for quite a while now. At least it seems like a long time. I completely chalked off November in order to participate in NaNoWriMo. But some really bad shit decided to happen to me in real life in the middle of October which put paid to all my gaming for the foreseeable future. So all the painting I planned to do while taking breaks from writing in November and painting in December has not happened at all (it means that my Menoth army will not be fully painted by the time January rolls around).
But now that things have settled down a little, and Cross Gaming Club not opening up again for a little while yet, I have  got back into a gaming mind-set. So to begin with, let’s end 2012. Stats please:

Warmachine/Hordes

P - 66  W – 18 D – 0 L – 48

Infinity

P – 4 W – 0 D – 0 L – 4

Malifaux

P – 5 W – 1 D – 0 L – 4

Overall

P – 75 W – 19 D – 0 L – 56

So, it’s not quite the 50% win ratio I wanted but it’s an improvement (it’s still all about the playing and not the winning) on the 2011 record. The longest win streak was two (2) and the longest losing streak was fifteen (15) – thankfully not the famous twenty game streak of 2011. I would like to say that some of the losses, especially on tourney days, did go down to tie-break situations so I was marginally short of a few more wins. However, a loss is still a loss.
I have also, finally, got round to playing Malifaux and Infinity. Both have been fun, and I have put the effort of getting my Morat force (most of them anyway) and Viktoria crew painted. I am also happy, and sad that I steered clear of Bushido recently. It looks like a really fantastic game which is being tweaked to be better. The minis look awesome and the people playing the game sound like they are really having fun.
Painting wise, I haven’t gotten any better when it comes to technique and style, but I have improved on my patience in front of a painting table. As it stands at this moment in time, I have over 66% of my main armies fully painted and based.

So for 2013:
I’m hoping to be involved with Infinity and Malifaux bit more in 2013 by taking part in the clubs Infinity campaign and attending the Malifaux tourneys being advertised on the Wyrd forums.
As for WarmaHordes, I want to concentrate on my Menoth force a bit more. This was something I had planned back in October by wanting to constantly use the casters that I haven’t used that much. I started to utilise eKreoss and eFeora a lot for the UK Masters, ETC and for a handful of one day events after that. To start off the year in I wanted to field the High Reclaimer and Vindictus a bit more, but that was before I made a few purchases. In order to cheer myself up from my personal life, I bought Intercessor Kreoss and a Judicator. Naturally, with the new Kreoss, I would want a unit of Vengers. Which is totally new for me as I have never fielded a cavalry unit before. So, horses will be my main thing for the first couple of months of the year along with squeezing m new Colossal into an eFeora list.
I will continue to attempt to churn out fully painted minis at the same rate as the third quarter of this year. I want to be able to have finished my Menoth army (only another 43 models to go) before I start up on something else.
I have started to pick up my paints again just now so hopefully I’ll have the Judicator and horsey Kreoss and his horsey friends finished before the club opens up again in January.
I cannot wait to get back to the table top.

September paint log

Painting for this month was slow. This is due to spending a bit more time out of the house at weekends, (things like having to shop for new computer parts, actually celebrating my birthday and seeing family). But I did manage to finish up a fair amount of minis.
My quest to try and paint all of my Menoth before the end of of October will now undoubtedly fail. There are two one day events coming up that will take up a bit of time. The first is a WarmaHordes tier list only day coming up in the first weekend.. Everyone will choose two casters/warlocks and both lists have to be Tier two and above. As a result, I have hastily changed my painting priorities and brought out some of my Skorne minis. The Void Spirits, Feralgeist and Cyclopses will enable me to have a fully painted Mordikaar Tier 4 list. I now want to paint a Catapult, Flayer Cannon and Tyrant Vorkesh (the last two I've just gotten from bought) in readiness for Saturday. There is no painting restriction on this event, but recently I've made it a point to play with a fully painted force these days. The second one dayer I will be using my Gators, all of which are fully painted so I don’t have to rush anything.
Hopefully I can go back and paint up as much of my Menoth as I can before I take a break from all aspects of gaming in November.

So, here’s what I've finished and how they were at the beginning of the month, a grand total of 22 models finished:

Feralgeist, Void Spirit unassembled à finished and based
Cyclops Shaman, Reclaimer assembled bare metal à finished and based
Agonizer, Reclaimer, 2 x Void Spirits, Zealots (max) undercoated àfinished and based
Basilisk Krea, 2 x Cyclops Savage, Mordikaar nearly finished à finished and based

Priority for October, as mentioned above, is finishing Tyrant Vorkesh and my artillery pieces. After that I will try and forge ahead with my Menoth. I also bought myself a Sagorat heavy infantry to add to my Space monkey force, so that will be sneaking itself onto my paint table.

August paint log

August has seen another very productive month at my painting table.

Firstly, I wanted to finish painting the remainder of the eFeora list I took to the Heat III of the London Steamroller event. I managed to get it all done and managed to snaffle third place in the Golden Thrall. Just to be clear, this was not because my army is brilliantly painted (although I am pleased with their unified look). I actually won the prize because I was one of three people to have a fully painted army. Of course I never entertained the idea of winning a painting prize, but this just shows what can happen if you have a fully painted army.

Secondly, I wanted to get as many of my jacks painted up. There is a bit of a Summer Rampage league going on at the club at the moment in which Unbound games can be played. I managed to get all but two of my jacks finished. The two in question are the Avatar and a Devout. I just am not motivated enough to finish the Avatar off for the time being, while the Devout has caused me a little problem. I tried to remove him from the ‘scenic’ base he came with (a job lot from eBay), and I managed to twist his foot off (it was not a clean break). So I’ve got to try and pin it back on or something (???). But my interest in the Summer Rampage has cooled as I’ve been looking to play a bit more Malifaux and Infinity (finally taking that WarmaHordes break I’ve been looking for).

So here is a little recap of what I’ve done this month:

Amon, Dervish x 3, Devout, Epic Feora, Flameguard Cleansers (max) + UA, Revenger, Repenter, Vanquisher base coated à finished and based
Daughters of the Flame assembled bare metal à finished and based
Blood of Martyrs, Redeemer, Repenter, Sanctifier unassembled à finished and based

I cannot believe that I have finished off 30 minis this month, which surpasses the twenty-odd models finished off last month. At this rate, I could have my Menoth army fully painted before November (where I will be participating in nanowrimo again – no wargames or anything wargame related for 30 days).

In preparation for the task of painting up the remainder of my Menoth, I managed to also do the following:

Allegiant, Reclaimer, Vindictus, Zealots (max) unassembled à undercoated
Errant UA, High Reclaimer, Testament, Wracks, unassembled à assembled

I have also resolved to help myself further in the task of having a fully painted army by not actually buying any more minis for the time being. This was actually last months promise to myself but I just had to go and buy a Sanctifier and the BoM and SoH upgrade kits (I had two plastic jacks from the two-player starter set). As it turned out, one of the plastic jacks was a Vanquisher which doesn’t have an open fist (Flame Belcher) so I’ll have to get myself another plastic jack kit anyway. I also wanted to get the Vessel of Judgement, but that is going to be put on hold along with my Farrow project (truth is,  I actually have to buy a new motherboard and processor for my PC. It broke down last October and I haven’t actually gotten round to fixing it yet. So now I have to spend the next few months minis budget doing so).

So what are my post Menoth plans? What am I going to concentrate on with regards to painting? Retribution or Skorne? I think my preference would be Retribution as I really want to get myself an Arkantrik Force Generator. This would be a really nice addition to my force, which stands at 50.89% painted (with another 28.57% just needing finishing touches and/or basing). Skorne are just about ahead on the path of completeness, but I am just a little (the slightest of margins) less inspired by them. I could also finish painting the rest of my Malifaux minis, which shouldn’t take that long at all. We shall see in December.

SYNERGY!!!

As promised, I brought out Amon for a night of fun. Jack and I had agreed on a 35 point game as he was fielding his list for an upcoming Highlander one-dayer and I had to leave early to collect my wife from the Eurostar.

Having used Amon just once before, I felt a little rusty with him. But then again Amon is kind of a one-trick pony. The list I took was a variation of the previous Amon list I had fielded. The main differences were swapping the Vanquisher for a Reckoner and somehow squeezing in the Blood of Martyrs. The trio of Dervishes and Devout remained the same.

High Allegiant Amon Ad-Raza
* Dervish
* Dervish
* Dervish
* Devout
* Repenter
* Blood of Martyrs
* Reckoner
Choir of Menoth (Leader and 5 Grunts)

Kaelyssa, Night's Whisper
* Banshee
* Discordia
* Phoenix
Houseguard Halberdiers (Leader and 9 Grunts)
* Houseguard Halberdiers Officer & Standard
Arcanist

SmogCon dice

We chose the Close Quarters Scenario and Jack won the roll-off and elected to go first. Jack set up with his Phoenix and Banshee to my left and clumped his Halberdiers around the Discordia. Kaelyssa and the Arcanist sat behind the infantry. I sort of set up all higgledy-piggledy with the only real planning going into putting the Repenter out on my right with the intention of spraying the Halberdiers.

Turn 1

Jack made a general advance with everything activating the Discordia’s imprint to give a little more protection to the Halberdiers. Kaelyssa helped out her infantry a bit more by putting banishing ward on them.

I allocated one point of focus to a dervish and my Devout to start off. Amon then cast Synergy and Mobility and let his army make a general advance. The Choir then move towards their jacks and used the Prayer of Shielding (no magic); I figured this was the best they could do as the Prayer of passage only stops non-magical ranged attacks (all of the Myrmidons had magic ranged weapons).

Turn 2

Jack shuffles his Halberdiers forward some more alongside the Discordia. Discordia attempts to spray one of my Dervishes but to little or no effect. Kaelyssa feated first and then cast Phantom Hunter on the Banshee who took a shot at my left-hand Dervish. The Dervish suffered a little bit of damage and then squished a Choir boy when he was pushed back.
My turn would be a difficult one with the Elves being un-chargeable and Stealthed. Synergy was upkept and two Focus was allocated to the Reckoner and one to the Repenter. I started off by moving Amon inside my lines and cast Mobility. The Repenter then moved forward so that he could get the maximum number of elves under his spray. After catching six Halberdiers and the Discordia, only one of the elves fell and the Discordia was set on fire but suffered no damage (after being boosted). What I should have done was activate the Choir beforehand and maybe some more elves would have burned. Next up was the Choir (!?) who sung the Prayer of Battle making sure the Reckoner was affected. Dervishes just shuffled out of the way of the Reckoner who moved so he could see the Discordia. Boosting to hit and damage, the force field suffered seven points of damage.

Turn 3

Jack rolled into action with his Halberdiers who used their mini-feat to excellent effect. They charged the Reckoner and managed to scrap it. They reformed slightly so they could be more of a nuisance. The Discordia waded into the Repenter taking out his flail and movement. The Banshee took another shot at the Dervish and managed to turn it into scrap. The Phoenix shuffled forward and took a bit of a swing at the in front of it, but thankfully failed to do anything.
My immediate reaction was to feat. I dropped Synergy only to recast it and Mobility. With two focus left, I walked Amon forward so that he could start the Synergy chain off by killing two elves. Having spent all of his Focus, Amon dished it out; one to the Devout, two to the Dervish in front of the Phoenix, two for Repenter and the last one for the last Dervish. The Choir activated and sung the Prayer of Battle affecting both Dervishes, the Devout and the BoM. And away we went. The Devout charged the Banshee, causing little damage, but moving the Synergy chain up to +2. The Repenter moved out of Melee with Discordia (thanks to getting Perfect Balance from the feat) and sprayed. I think he only killed one Halberdier. The BoM tore through a few elves getting the chain up to +3. The central Dervish filled his boots as well getting rid of three pointy ears with the chain going up to +4. The last Dervish activated and killed the Halberdier in front of him and Side Stepped into the Phoenix. With one more initial attack and two Focus, I was hoping for some big damage. Needing to roll anything but snake eyes, and now at P+S 19, this was going to look good. And it was. The Phoenix was totalled by a four point jack. Such a nice way to end the turn.

Turn 4

My turn three didn’t actually end with me doing the happy dance. It ended with me crapping my pants because I realised where I left Amon.
Jack started off by getting the Banshee to smack up the Devout a little, taking out its cortex. Then he activated Kaelyssa, who noticed that Amon was in the open and aimed her ROF 3 gun at him. With no Focus to steal from Amon, Kaelyssa double boosted the first shot for eleven damage, bought her second shot, boosting the hit only for five damage, and then buying her third  and only needing a five or more on two dice. Which she got, therefore winning the game.

A super game against someone I’ve never played against before. I like the way that Amon works and getting the Synergy chain up can be a beautiful thing if the last jack(s) is a Side Stepping Dervish.

The bad bits:

Remembering that I always have a problem with activating the Choir before the jacks. In turn two, the Repenter might have toasted a few more Halberdiers. This might have saved the Reckoner.

My positioning of Amon in my last turn. If I had got  him to stand by the nearby wall while he splattered an elf, then Jack might have had to get Kaelyssa to cast Phantom Hunter so she can get a shot on Amon. Of course this would have been at the expense of the third shot and a boost to damage which might have left Amon standing.

The good points:

The P+S 19 Dervish. I can see the potential here as an assassination tool. 10.5” on the charge with Mobility and then two Side Steps giving another four inches gives a heck of a threat.

The list will need a little bit of tweaking, with the BoM likely to be the first candidate to be dropped. It was the first time I used it and I can see it being quite handy. I like the idea of its ability Hand of Vengeance giving yet another boost to attack and damage rolls. This in addition to a Choir and Synergy would make this a nightmare against big targets. The thing I have to remember is that it only has Side Step when it is in Thyra’s battlegroup (I used it last night).

The reason why I tweaked the list from the first time was that I was worried about having a couple of SPD 4 jacks but I’m not sure that it really mattered in the end. So for the next time that I rock Amon, It should look a little bit like:

High Allegiant Amon Ad-Raza
* Dervish
* Dervish
* Dervish
* Devout
* Crusader
* Crusader
* Reckoner

EPIC! Kreoss, EPIC! Doomy, EPIC! Feats, EPIC! game.

The preparations for Tourney season carried on against Cal and a formidable beast heavy list.
(EPIC!) Hoarluk Doomshaper, Rage of Dhunia
* Pyre Troll
* Troll Axer
* Dire Troll Mauler
* Earthborn Dire Troll
* Mulg the Ancient
* Trollkin Runebearer
Trollkin Runeshapers (Leader and 2 Crew)
Janissa Stonetide
Troll Whelps
Troll Whelps

Reinforcements:

Trollkin Scouts (Leader and 5 Grunts)
Trollkin Scouts (Leader and 5 Grunts)

I was originally going to take eFeora to give her her debut but Dark Sphere didn’t have the model for me to buy (or that I didn’t think her list would pack enough punch against what was likely to be a beast heavy list). So I went with a variation of my eKreoss list:

Grand Exemplar (EPIC!) Kreoss
* Fire of Salvation
Daughters of the Flame (Leader and 5 Grunts)
Exemplar Bastions (Leader and 4 Grunts)
Exemplar Errants (Leader and 9 Grunts)
* Exemplar Errant Officer & Standard Bearer
Knights Exemplar (Leader and 5 Grunts)
Knights Exemplar (Leader and 5 Grunts)
Visgoth Juviah Rhoven & 2 Honor Guard
Exemplar Errant Seneschal
High Exemplar Gravus

Knight Exemplar Seneschal
Knight Exemplar Seneschal

Reinforcements:

Flameguard Cleansers (Leader and 9 Grunts)
* Flameguard Cleanser Officer

We drew up the scenario for the game which was Outflank, Outfight and Outflank with Reinforcements. Neither Cal nor I had gotten to use the Reinforcement rule yet so this was going to be a lot of fun.

Cal won the roll-off and decided to go first. eDoomy sat in the centre flanked by Troll Moses and Janissa with the Runeshapers in front. Cal placed the Mauler, Mulg and the Pyre facing my right flank and the Earthborn and Axer facing my left.

I set up with a front line of Bastions and both units of Knights (the Knights looking to make an early claim for the right hand control zone). eKreoss, FoS, Rhoven and Co and both Knight Sennys standing behind. The Errants, Errant Senny and Daughters Advance Deployed near the forest looking to take the left hand control zone.

Turn1

Cal ran everything forward as one with the exception of Doomy who threw Wild Aggression on the Earthborn and Refuge on the Pyre.

Kreoss goes first and puts Inviolable Resolve and Sacrosanct on the Knights (I forgot to use their Advance Move, probably just as well). Both sets of Knights run forward towards the control zone just about getting a toe in. The Bastions also run forward to try and clog up the middle of the field. The Daughters drift in from the left to the centre to see what the Runeshapers would do, While the Errants got cosy in the forest contesting the zone.

Turn 2

The fun began when Cal brought on his reinforcements. The first Scout unit deployed at the front of the reinforcement deployment zone, with the second unit just behind them. The first unit activated and Assaulted the Errants and made quite a big dent in their numbers (six Errants kicked the bucket), while the second Scout unit moved up in support. Cal’s next action was to get Moses to use Harmonious Exaltation on Doomy who had upkept his spells and feated. The Runeshapers move forward and try to blast the Daughters but can only kill one. The Earthborn, who had Rush cast on him by Doomy, charges into the Bastions taking three down, leaving the remaining two on one wound each. The Axer follows suit and threshers three Daughters. Having seen what was happening on the other side of the table, the Mauler decided to get in on the action and charge the Knights. This charge, thankfully, failed by the closest of margins. Mulg moved closer to the Control Zone and Janissa threw down a Rock Wall in front of the Pyre and Mulg. The Pyre also tried to Spew at the Knights but couldn’t cause any harm or make the fire stick due to eKreoss’ Elite Cadre: Aegis.

After a big turn from Cal, it was time for a big turn from me. I brought on my Reinforcements and deployed them as far as they could go. Kreoss kicked things off allocating one Focus to FoS and upkeeping his upkeeps. He moved forward and then feated (everybody auto-hits and get an extra attack each) keeping hold of the rest of his Focus. I started with the Bastions and charged the Axer. Credit goes to the Axer for staying alive on two points after four Weapon Master attacks. One of my Knights Senny (now with STR buff for Menites dying nearby) charged the Earthborn getting off his Chain Attack. This caused a lot of damage. Gravus (full up with souls of fallen Menites – love that double dipping) charged in and finished off the Earthborn. Rhoven moved up with his Honor Guard and used Negation to take a point of Fury away from the Axer (not that it made much difference to Doomy). The Errants struck back at the Scouts killing three from the closest unit and two from the other, their Quick Work ability not working to full effect). The two remaining Daughters ran past the Axer and took on the Runeshapers taking killing two with a total of six attacks. I tried to squeeze as many Knights around the Mauler as I could but failed as I so very nearly killed the big troll. In the end, the Cleansers had to pitch in with their sprays to kill the Mauler.

Turn 3

Cal started off with the easy bit and got his scouts to finish off the Errants and gain the first control point of the game (we both thought that I had score the first but after looking at the wording in the Steamroller pack, I only contested the zone as I had less than half the Errants in the zone). The Axer, who still had Wild Aggression upkept, then managed to kill the Knight Senny in front of him. Fortunately, Cal forgot about Restoration so the Senny came back after some nearby Knights were killed. The last Runeshaper ignored the Daughters in front of him and tried in vain to kill a Knight. Janissa showed him how it was done by killing two (and not getting knocked down from Sacrosanct like we thought as she was Steady). The Pyre activated next and knowing he was going to do didly-squat to the Knights, he gave his animus to Mulg to make him hit far harder than he should (in my opinion anyway). Mulg then did what he does best and SMASH!!! He took out a handful of Knights to clear some space.

Time for me to get a bit of a move on before I was wiped out by Mulg so I kicked off with Rhoven who got his Guard to charge the Axer to finally finish it off. Gravus gets a charge in on the Scouts and kills three, clearing the control zone as a result (I would score my first point at the end of the turn). I then charge one of the Daughters into Troll Moses while the other stays engaged with the Runeshaper. Unfortunately, they are unable to kill either Troll. The Knights then get charges in on the Pyre and the Whelp that is standing right next to Mulg. The Whelp dies, but the Pyre hangs on with a few points left. I then get the other Knight Senny at Mulg. Both initial attacks hit but I then fail with the Combo: Smite attack. Finally I bring in the Cleansers to start spraying Mulg, careful not to hit my guys. They pile on a bit more damage.

Turn 4 (queue missing pic for Cal's turn 4)

With both Mulg and the Pyre maxed out on Fury, Cal has to decide which beast is going to frenzy. He goes for Pyre who has the most uninspiring frenzy and fails to kill what’s in front of him. The Scouts make charge moves at the Errant Senny and Gravus. The Senny stands unscathed while Gravus only suffers five points of damage. Moses uses Harmonious Exaltation on Doomy who pimps his friend Mulg with Wild Aggression and the Pyre’s Flame Fists. This does not look good for FoS. Janissa then uses Tectonic Shift and moves both Daughters and the two Knights engaging the Pyre towards my table edge. Then Mulg goes for it. He Threshers both the FoS and the Knight Senny, causing FoS to lose two columns and kills the Senny. This activates FoS’s Righteous Vengeance. FoS moves in and whacks Mulg. Because of his Affinity with Kreoss, his weapons have Dispel meaning Mulg is now just normal Mulg. Mulg carries on buying attacks and leaves FoS with only his left arm (Open Fist) in working order.

The Knights Senny, Errant Senny and Gravus combine to kill three out of the four Scouts left on the board, the last one contesting the control zone. The Daughters finish off Moses and puts a few points of damage on Janissa. FoS gets a hit on Mulg causing a few points. The Knights charge the last Runeshaper (killing him), Mulg (more damage) and Doomy (left with only a few points but still with a couple of transfers). I then get the Cleansers to activate and half start spraying Mulg taking a few points at a time until they kill him and the rest spray Doomy with the same result.

The negative streak ends after an EPIC three and a bit hour, four turn game. I really enjoyed using reinforcements, they really changed the game. Cal’s choice of two units of Scouts was genius, coming on and making sure that things died with their Assault moves made my trusty Errants look quite flimsy. My Cleansers made quite an impact too. It had been a while since I last used them and enjoyed the extra dimension that the Officer (just purchased hours before the game) lent to them. My feat turn would not have been quite as devastating as it was if the charge of the Mauler had not failed, the Cleansers and others would have had to work that little bit harder. Everything in my list worked quite well. The Daughters get special mention despite losing four very early, they didn’t need to use Anatomical Precision that much to take down Cal’s support. The best thing about Rhoven was not his abilities which are quite situational at times, but it was his guard. Two MAT 8 Weapon Masters!!! If something needs to be taken down, Cassian and Gius can really make sure it is either done or make it easier for others to finish off. Kreoss was safe and FoS wasn’t really in any position to cause much harm, although he saved himself with his Dispel attack on Mulg.

All in all, I’m satisfied with my eKreoss list and not sure if I should change it to accommodate for a second unit of Daughters or not. I may not get to much time to test this out as I really should begin working with Feora (p or e) and Vindictus.
